About

My name is Caleb. I’m a shark attack survivor, storyteller, actor and athlete with a deep love for the outdoors and human connection.

In 2015, my life changed forever when I was attacked by a Great White shark in Buffalo Bay, Knysna, South Africa. I lost my right leg above the knee and came close to losing my life. To be precise, the odds were 1 in 5 million for surviving. This experience reshaped my entire life, physically and mentally. A rebirth at 20 years old.

Fast forward to 2025 and 10 years later I am still standing, walking with a swagger…replacing flesh and bone with cyborg.

Today my xp spans across professional theatre, film & television, brand building, as well as over a decade of keynote speaking

My evolving relationship with sharks and the ocean continues to unfold as an exciting adventure — with the key focus on using my story to protect sharks as well as encourage and show others that healing is possible

Stay up to date on the talks, events, and challenges I’m taking on by joining my community.
